Gaskets

I'm planning to do an HR y-pipe and coupe midpipe swap on my 04 sedan. I got the cat to y-pipe and y-pipe to midpipe gasket. No stores around seem to carry the midpipe to muffler gasket. When I look it up online I get two different looking gaskets. One looks like the y-pipe to midpipe and the other looks just like a ring. Which one is it supposed to be?

On my 05 sedan the mid to muffler piece was a ring. Hope that helps.

It helps a lot actually! I didn't want to take apart my exhaust just to have the gaskets fall apart and have a leaky exhaust for a week. Thanks blue, I'll probably order one today or tomorrow.

Here is what I plan on getting:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VICTO...item27ba5e6d8a

It's the cheapest and I'll have to wait no matter where I buy from to get it.

Autozone will have it as well. I think the one I had was made by Felpro. But I would get it from the Nissan or Infiniti dealership to be sure you have no leaks.

AutoZone is a special order only according to their website. You can't even select it to have it shipped to their store. I did find a site that has a diagram and you can click on what you're looking for and it will give you an OEM part number. I ended up buying it from rockauto.com. They don't have it listed for the G35, but I just copied the part number in Google and it popped up. Paid less than $4 shipped with first class mail.

Here's the site: G35 Exhaust Diagrams

Hopefully this helps people in the future.

The best gaskets are what came with your Infiniti, no aftermarket gaskets come close! Check with your local Nissan dealership for the gaskets you need, you won't be sorry!
