^ Thanks Rob, this should clear up any doubt that anyone has about this issue. I know it did for me.

There is a big weight difference. Let's just say this, one stock cat weights about as much as both my Berk's did. No rasp what so ever as of now. There is a slight smell of raw gas but nothing like test pipes. Hope I answered all your questions. I added a picture so you can see the over all size difference.
Very cool, thanks bro! More power, sound, weight savings and emissions safe. Sounds like I'm ordering

So, it's been a couple of months now since I installed my Berk's. I'm still happy with the results but I've noticed a lil rasp. It's only while revving the engine past 4000 rpms in neutral. Under load it can't be heard...atleast I don't take notice to it. Just thought I'd post this update as in my earlier posts I said there is no rasp. Thinking about maybe going with ART pipes later on down the road.

OP, how did you remove the bolts that connect the OEM cats to the headers?

Alot of extensions, breaker bar, time, and patience's. I'd suggest to remove your whole intake to free up a lil more room to see also. Pretty simple job, just time consuming.

Sounds like u r happy with the berk hfcs. My g is all Stillen dual exhaust sport rotors with front and rear sway bar with rear camber brace. I normally only buy stillen but they are not legal so it sounds like I'm gettn berk HFCs! Did u notice much of ann hp or torq gain. Th stillen exhaust gave me 16 hp. Hopn 2 get at least 6 horsepower from the HFCs!

I have a 2005, sedan that I'm entertaining doing the same thing to, but am wondering is the gains worth the money? Or could i keep my OEM Cats, with the custom duals i have on the machine, drop some NKG plugs in her and have a Osiris flash tune? Do you have State Inspections? You think it will pass inspections with the new addition?

I have that same problem with my berks, any idea what that might be? It really bugs me and I might resort to stock cats

I think Berk used to offer both ceramic & metallic cats. I had the metallic ones on my old G and basically had the same experience as the op.

I used them with stock exhaust, ztube plenum spacer etc then upgraded to Fast Intentions TD and later Invidia Gemini TD exhausts. Best HFCs out there IMO...no smell no CEL... just lighter cats & a few extra whp

That's how all hfcs are. If you don't like the sound, switch to resonated test pipes or art pipes
