minor upgrade ?'s

Whats up Fam!! Just bought a 08 G35x AWD and love it... I have been on here reading up and just have a few questions... I have deciced to do the Z tube w/ some apexi drop-ins...1) Below the airbox is a what? is this a resonator? it looks like it has a whole at the bottom. is this for pulling air from a lower area in the engine? 2) plenum spacer not needed correct?

thanks,

Below the airbox is the sound deadening area, it helps mute intake noise. It's not used for pulling air from the lower engine area.

Plenum spacer would only work with a lower plenum, example, the Motordyne MREV2 and the 5/16th spacer will be a good upgrade.

Not really, certainly nothing you'd ever notice. You will get more of an induction 'roar' if it's 'deleted' though.
