HELP '05 6MT with drone @3k with GT-R exhaust

I have the following installed in the car:

Z Tube
Kinetix V+
MD MREV2
Stillen Headers
MD ART pipes v2
GT-R Exhaust

I have a mild drone @ 3k, besides that I love how the car sounds! It sounds badass but the drone is just bothering me. . . I haven't dyno tuned the car yet, but I doubt that would fix my problem. . .

Any suggestions?

Easy fix. Just replace your current exhaust with a Motordyne exhaust.

Trouble shoot with welding in resonators until the problem is solved. You can have one welded in, but depending on the size of the resonator it's going to cut down on sound. It should help your drone issue though.

GT-R exhaust.... what's the rear resonator/muffler on that?

It's going to be down to the catback section that causes the problem i' afraid.

Add a Magnaflow resonator. I don't think your exhaust has resonators just the 2 rear mufflers.

If space is a issue look into Hushpower HP2 mufflers by flowmaster they are made for lowered cars they are not round. I have them on my exhaust I'm using a IPL muffler.

Yea, I doubt it's my GT-R exhaust causing the drone. . . there's no resonator on the GT-R exhaust, I'm using the stock resonator on the mid-pipe part. . . I guess I have to get another resonator. . . Any idea's?

Get a 18in magnalfow resonator or 18in hushpower HP2 muffler in place of the stock resonator or along with the stock resonator if there is room.

Just take it to a exhaust shop and see what they can or can't do with it.

GL post a before and after vid if you can.

Resonators don't cause drone, they cure it, is what the previous post said. Of course it's the GTR exhaust causing the drone.

There's a couple people (including me...) that had their orders placed 5-6 weeks ago and exhaust is still not shipped. Probably going to be around 2 months time when everything is settled... lol
Should be worth the wait though.

Here are what the Hushpower mufflers look like they look like resonators. I have 2 of them the 12in shortys.

You will need only one since you only have one pipe going to the GTR mufflers. Hopefully you can fit the 18in one.
