Schnell Sonic power intake filter?

I was looking to replace my aem filter with one from A'PEXi when i ran into this. What do you think

I think this would be better for Z since they have that cutout in the front that we don't have.

Notice the pic on the Z using the popcharger shield in the eBay listing.

Looks like an expectional system to heat soak the intake charge and make the car slower. Stick with the OEM setup. It flows way more than enough air than even a full bolt-on VQ35 could hope to ingest. If you want more sound, either cut off the intake resonators on the G-tube; replace with a Z-tube, and/or remove the Power Duct cover.
