Motordyne XYZ-pipe HFC question

Hey guys,

Just came across a good deal on a MD XYZ pipe with HFC and had a couple questions before I pull the trigger:

1) Is the 350z pipe the same as the G35 fitment? I have an 06 G35 Coupe and I want to make sure there isn't a difference.

2) I plan to get ART pipes along with a Shockwave TDX 2 in the near future but will the XYZ pipe and HFCs sound alright on the stock exhaust for now? I can't find any multimedia with just this on a stock setup.

Also, give me a heads up on anything else I should know with these products!

Thanks guys and much appreciated as always!

I run ART pipes and just bought a XYZ w/ resonator instead of the HFC. Should sound the same?

I found these vids online for my own personal reference...

Thanks! Those vids were a great reference and I'm more comfortable making the purchase now.

Can the XYZ be installed without the ART pipes? I plan to pick them up a little later this month.

Ok great! My ideal set-up would be ART Pipes - XYZ (HFC) and the shockwave TDX 2

Hoping to get it done before summer ends!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums.
According to Tony at MD you cant run the xyz pipe with the shockwave exhaust, which comes with its own y-pipe. I am currently running the ART pipe with a stock exhaust, but thE mid-range rpm rasp is pretty bad. So I decided to go with the Xyz pipe with hfc attachment because I like the stock exhaust note. My Xyz is currently on order so I will yet you know how they sound together.

I'm not sure if anyone is gonna read this, but here goes. So I got the Xyz with hfc bolted up to my md art pipes with stock mid back and it sounds very nice! The rasp is 99% gone. It's pretty much the same as the stock sound but maybe a bit louder.
Also I have finally confirmed with md that the Xyz pipe is the same y-pipe that comes with their cat back exhaust, and my shop said the hfc attachment could still be retrofitted to a md cat back, or removed in which case you'd have a regular shockwave exhaust. So if you are thinking about getting n a full exhaust don't waste your money on an Xyz pipe like I did lol.
