NO after market Y-PIPE--what does this translate to?
Hi guys,
I'm really looking into getting the Fujitsubo exhaust--my main reason isn't necessarily the sound... nor the performance, but rather the LOOKS of it... I love the aggressive larger exhaust tips.
That being said I'm planning on going with just the end part of the system... what does this exactly mean for me at the end tho? Will I get a different sound still? Will performance still be seen? Or will my stock y-pipe restrict everything (pretty much meaning I'm just paying 800 strictly for looks)?
Thanks in advance for the help!

The stock mid pipe is way to restrictive. My advice would be to go for an aftermarket Y pipe...preferably Fuji if you can afford it. If not go for a cheaper one like UT's as long as it has a 3" outlet so it matches up w/ the the inlet end of the Fuji mid pipe. This is the setup that I'm going w/.

From the cats back the most restrictive part of the exhaust system is the Y-pipe. It has been clearly shown in previous threads the bad bends which reduces the pipe diameter in several places. So from a performance perspective, changing out the Y-pipe to a good aftermarket one would give you the most bang for your buck. But since your looking for looks then like truplay said, just go buy some larger universal tips that you like, have a muffler shop cut off the stock ones, and weld on the new ones for you. Cheapest way to go.
