I went with the aFe stage 2 CAI a while back and have been pretty happy with it. plastic intake tube, pretty nice heat shield that almost completely isolates the filter from engine bay, good fitment, re-useable filter. Sounds pretty badass and I havent noticed any loss in power. No gains either, maybe a little on the top end according to the butt dyno but I doubt its actual. Should be beneficial when I go Osiris.

Just stay away from anything with a metal intake tube and anything that doesnt isolate the filter from the engine heat.

You will not get any gains from the z tube or the K&N or the pop charger. Only on the butt dyno.

I don't know about that. A ztube is going flow more smoothly than the OEM quiet baffled tube.

That doesn't mean you will get any measurable more power. Even if you were to pretend it does, you're talking maybe what? 1-2hp?

In and of itself no, it won't matter much. With a tune to take advantage of it as part of a build addressing both the intake and exhaust possibly.

I'm not arguing for or against as I haven't done that much research and haven't dyno'd mine. Simply asking. Not saying KJ's wrong, just saying I don't know about that.

I have to jump in, because I have recently tested the z tube vs stock intake. The z tube brought me a much smoother powerband and a noticeacible difference in power at 4k rpm by comparison to stock. I think i would say it offered a more committed response. Our stock intake in my opinion felt more rough and less refined. Power difference minimal just more of a driving preference. Please be mindful my car isnt really faster regardless of which one I choose.

I put a Z tube and a K&N on the car a while back and like everyone says, the sound is much more noticeable, especially under full throttle. You will notice some better throttle response but not much in the way of increased horsepower. I researched quite a bit before I bought and for the money it seems like the way to go (unless you have way more extensive mods planned for the future). Also, I put the 5/16 spacer in shortly after and that was definitely worth the money. I can feel a noticeable difference in the cars characteristics and for less than $200 its a steal.

Ztube + Pop Charger sounds great on my G. Very Noticible difference on sound. Also have the MD Spacer 5/16.If I could I would add an Stillen Box to it and Berks HFC then Tune. For me it was worth it!!! nothing else seems to be... Unless yo go FI.
