Replacement Y pipe
Replacement Y pipe
I recently sprung an exhaust leak and a look under the vehicle shows its in the y pipe. However I don't know much anything about the aftermarket world and I need some help finding a replacement.
I am looking for a low cost replacement that gives equal performance as the OEM one but with out the cost of the OEM replacement. If I get some extra performance its not a bad thing of course but it really isn't my primary goal at this time. one day I would love to put some money into the car but with my current bills its just not doable.
So any suggestions on a new item? Preferably under the $150 mark if that is possible. any input would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,

You won't get a better deal than this on an OEM part that will improve sound and performance. Plus Terry's a stand up guy so you'll be helping out a cool dude.

Would you know enough about the 2 models to say if it would fit on the coupe, would there be any loss in power or change in sound or is it the same part on both vehicles?
And how the heck do I find out if my engine is high rev or not?! I have searched and searched but it's just more and more conflicting information. I have tried looking for Info on vin or engine code that could give away what I actually have but I can't find a thing.

Y pipes are the same part on coupes and sedans. The rev-up motors were the 6 speed versions from 05-06 for sedans and 05-07 for the coupes. The high-rev or HR motors came on the 07-08 sedans, coupes 08 and up came with the VHR 3.7L motors. The 09 and up sedans also came with the VHR that puts out 330HP.
