I just picked up a Nismo S tune muffler yesterday and ordered a Megan Racing V2 y pipe also. I need a to have a mid pipe made to finish up the system. Will there be drone if I do not use a resonator in the mid pipe? I am running Kinetex Hi-flow cats. The only thing I have found so far was about test pipes.

 

Why not use your stock mid-pipe? If I remember correctly it is resonated. Typically though, and this is just a general rule of thumb, HFCs and resonated test pipes / ART Pipes don't drone much. Usually you'll get drone if you're running a true single 3" and/or non-resonated test pipes.

 

I cut it off when I had my Injen installed. It was rusting anyways. The Injen drones way too much for as much as I drive.
