Hey i have an invidia gemini titanium tip exhaust on my 07 coupe, theres been a weird noise from the inside of my exhaust like something loose rattling, i want to take it apart to check but then id need new gaskets, i was wondering if anyone knew if Invidia sells just the gasket set or if anyone anywhere has them ive been looking for so long and cant seem to find any and invidia wont reply to any of my emails, thanks for any help!

 

Exhaust rattles...one sure way to find them is to get your coupe on a rack and find where it's hitting or lose. Generally it's the OE cat covers that have a broken weld making a rattling noise. You could have your local muffler shop check your system if you have one that's reliable...Gary

 

thx for the feedback, its not the exhaust itself, it sounds as if something from somewhere inside is making a small metallic noise like if a screw was bouncing around really fast, its high pitched doesnt sound like the actual exhaust itself is moving around

 

Hmm..I put my Invidia Gemini on a week ago. What else can you tell us about the noise? What part of the exhaust is it coming from? Front, mid, or rear? Do you hear it in the cabin, outside of the car, or both? When do you hear it? Is it constant, at idle, or when accelerating? Let us know these specifics and I'm sure someone can help pinpoint the problem.

 

Its only at idle, i can hear it inside the cabin but its not loud, but if i open the window i can hear it a lot more. It goes away as soon as my foot touches the gas, i hear it whenever im sitting and my idle is below 1000 rpm which is all the time unless i just started up the car. Cant really tell where its coming from, maybe mid or front ill pay close attention to it today and see where exactly

 

only way to find out is lifting it up. you cannot guess from the cabin

 

i was looking at it tonight when i came home, it sounds like its coming from the middle of the car like the area underneath where the seats are under the car. It seems like its coming from the cats but im not sure, its only at idle and i think it is louder on the right side of the car

 

would you guys know if any replacement gasket sets are sold?
