need advice from drivers with exhaust

i just bought a 2006 g35 coupe. i so far only have the z-tube and popcharger inake, i want to make the car a louder though with performance. what would be better for that, stillen high flow cats or stillen catbacks. i can only get one or the other, what is the better bang for the buck for loudness and performance.

If you live i California, get the catbacks. If you don't, get the HFC's. The HFC's will give you more sound and more hp than the catback alone.

I haven't heard much about Stillen HFC but I hear a lot of good things about Berk. Art is usually more expensive than both. You might even find some used Berks in the marketplace. Sometimes even trades for OEM cats.

I would recommend the Motordyne ART test pipes. They are resonated test pipes. They are expensive. But they will give you the most power gains.

I would get the Motordyne Art pipes, alot of great reviews, and the craftsmanship on their products is amazing. I have the copper iso thermal spacer and the tdx2 exhaust, motordyne is hands down the best

They will not pass smog.

They will be quieter with less drone and less rasp than berks or any test pipe.

I'm not sure how strict Nevada emission laws are but in Cali neither Art pipes nor HFCs pass smog.
Test pipes on average will be louder than HFCs and emit some gas smell.
A lot of the loudness from test pipes/HFCs also depends on what exhaust you combine it with.

I run Berks with my Fast Intentions exhaust and love em, no rasp.
I used to have them on my Tanabe Medallion exhaust and got a bit of rasp, mostly because it wasn't a true dual exhaust

I know from a lot of people say they are slightly louder but they have the overall best gains performed against other tp or hfc

I'm not sure if Berks makes non-ceramic coated HFCs but it's the ceramics specifically that everyone drools over from there being virtually no (if any) rasp.

I ran the stillen HFC / Catback and though it sounded reasonably good there was always a bee in there when you were working in your normal ranges between 2000-3500 RPM. If you floored it- it sounded awesome... especially with the echo of the police sirens in the background.

If I could do it again, I'd have tried Berks with the stillen catback... frankly the best resonator out there is a turbo- 2 of them is even better!

This was my next step if I decided to scrap the Stillen CB.
