Question How do I add a little growl to an 07 Sedan?

Hello all,

I loved the sound my 2003 sedan made after I swapped the the mid-pipe and resonator out for a coupe mid pipe and little can resonator. Outside of a bit of droning at 40mph it sounded great. The Z-tube helped some too but it was more the couple mid pipe.

So now I sold the 03 and bought a used 2007. It's too quiet. Are there any relatively quick and cheap mods that will help me get the sound back? It just sounds a little too much like a mom's car from inside.

Intakes, HFC's/test pipes, exhaust. Those are pretty much your options.

take of the whole exhaust and run open headers that should give it a little bit of a growl.

lol. Yeah, I said a "little growl" lol

So the whole exhaust is way more expensive than the coupe mid pipe mod I did on the '03 and way out of my budget. Plus I think a lot of the exhausts are too loud. I just want to kick it up a notch like before.

Maybe a HFC that isn't too loud?

My Ztub intake seems to had a higher pitched growl or even more of a scream and not the lower pitched gurgle and growl I liked from the mid pipe.

What about a muffler delete and add custom pipes with the oem tips?

Keep in mind, while everyone's advice on here isn't necessarily wrong, some of these setups will most likely cause some raspiness

Well, a little raspiness is probably ok. I just want it to be a bit louder and to gurgle a bit like my couple mid piped 2003.

I'm not sure what a muffler delete would be. So keep one muffler and remove the other and replace it with a pipe? Put the OEM tips on it and everything looks pretty stock? Anyone done that?

Thanks for the links! Very helpful.

That was quite a bit louder than my coupe midpipe and definitely louder than I am looking for.
