Need help choosing exhaust! 2003 G Sedan

How's everyone doing? I have a 2003 G sedan that I'm trying to "tune up" to last a long time. Just did the belts yesterday. Found a somewhat loose ps pulley so ordered a new pump with pulley. Also ordered Energy compression arm bushings and waiting on new spark plugs to come in. Going to do at the same time next weekend

Anyways, I have a rattle coming from my exhaust. Installed a G coupe mid-pipe. But the rattling sounds like its coming from the stock Y-pipe or cats. I love the sound of the "stock" exhaust. My wife drives the car mostly so I do not want to make the car to much louder. A little louder will be a small sacrifice to get rid of the rattling problem. I have a few options in mind but wanted to get more input from ppl who already run aftermarket exhaust....

-Megan Y-pipe (How's fitment?)

-Ebay Test pipe (Only if this will NOT throw any CEL's?)

And one of the tips on the OEM muffler is starting to rust. I was thinking of having the local exhaust shop weld on a new one. I know it's not a big problem. Just want it looking oem and clean

Thanks guys

I kept my OEM exhaust and just added an HKS "axel back" muffler. Sounds great. If you need more noise, change the mid pipe with a small Magnaflow or something like that .

However, if you want to go full Monte on it, Get a good set of test pipes (not ebay), and a Borla true dual or a Stillen true dual. Just my two cents. Just remember, removing the CATs adds "rasp" to the sound.

TEXAS: Thanks for the response. This is a 2003 sedan. Doesn't have dual exhaust. I've been youtubing the test pipes and they do produce a lot of rasp. I think I may just do the Y-pipe and muffler tip

Just hope it isn't the cat heat shield rattling and making the noise

mine didn't have dual either. But Borla and Stillen make true dual exhaust that will fit your car.

Test pipes will make you louder by a considerable amount now that you're losing the massive sedan resonator. Best option is stock everything.
Also considering this is your wifes car, she may not be able to put up with the smell caused by running no cats
