Takeda Intake TR-3001B
Takeda Intake TR-3001B
Looking into purchasing a new intake for my '06 G35 Coupe 5AT, obviously I've looked into K&N & a few others, but after finding this Takeda there doesn't seem to be much info about it. Anyone have any experience with it? Comparisons, dyno, really any info will help. They claim up to 19hp & 16lb/ft gains (which I doubt), but just curious thanks!
Yeah that's some seriously doctored up dyno results... I'm looking at it on the manufacturers website right now with my face in my palms.
Get a z-tube and the PCV intake hose for a 350Z
Get the rev-up airbox
Get a performance drop in filter replacement
Done, and it will cost you a hell of a lot less than that Takeda intake.

OP head over to the Intake/Exhaust section and read this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...s-results.html
On a lot of vehicles intakes do work well and add decent HP but the G isn't one of them hot, they often LOSE power from sucking in the hot air from the engine bay. Heed the advice given above and call it a day.

I still have adds dating back to 2003 where manufactures claim massive increase in HP with their intakes, none of it's true with our G35s! Only intake made that will not lose HP is Stillen's CAI/Z-TUBE combination! It's also not effected by heat unlike 99% of other intakes mainly because it's made of composite material and uses a large K&N cone filter! I keep one of these because it's "Smog Legal" in all states unlike the Fujita intake I run on a normal basis. If I have issues I can switch to an intake that's legal to renew my license.

R2C intake is similar to the Stillen where it is shielded from heat from the engine bay. Had to use my Z-tube because their included tube was squared off instead of round and won't fit properly. Unless you're already getting more air out of the engine via downpipes or high flow cats, y-pipe and catback, an intake isn't going to do much other than sound good.
bmrinfiniti, this Takeda Air Intake System is available on our website. It fits Base/X models and provides up to 19 hp gain and up to 16 lbs./ft.torque gain (dyno chart is also available on product page). Feel free to reach me directly if you have any questions on it.
