Cold air intake

Hello, I purchased an INJEN cai intake for my 06 G35 Coupe a few months ago. I recently installed it and it wasn’t working.
The car was idling poorly, and I wasn’t able to get past 2.5k RPMs.

Any idea why?
I made sure everything was put on correctly and even did it twice.
Once the OEM filter was put back, the car ran normally.

PLEASE HELP!!
(It’s also the correct one for my specific car)

-Brandon

There is your answer!
You purchased the correct POS filter for your vehicle.

Return it!

Hasnt it been proven that a CAI adds nothing to our cars?

Of course, but they've never been the cause of killing our cars that I've heard of...until now! Maybe he forgot to reinstall that CAI sensor or he messed it up?

It's possible the filter is gummed up or something, usually though it's someone forgot to hook up a vacuum line or didn't tighten a screw or something simple like that.

Brandon you've been a member here long enough to know to read the forum headers to make sure you start new threads in the appropriate sections. This one says in big, red letters "No Car Questions!" so I've moved it to the right place.

I bet you didn't hook up the MAF sensor correctly, it's dirty or you have a leak somewhere. CAI's have been proven to actually lose power often because they suck in hot air from the engine bay so we don't recommend most of the with the R2C and the Stillen intakes being the exceptions to this thought process. You would have found this out as well if you had done a simple search on the probably most discussed single topic on the forum. C'mon man you can do better than this......
