Revup vq35de with mrev2 and z1 plenum spacer
Revup vq35de with mrev2 and z1 plenum spacer
Hey guys I have an 05 revup coupe and I was wondering if anyone is running the z1 tapered spacer with the mrev2 lower plenum? I know most people have luck with the 5/16 MD spacer but I was just wondering if the z1 makes similar or better gains.
Thanks in advance

Supposedly the Z1 spacer sort of eliminates the "need" for the MREV2 lower since a significant amount of the work on the MREV is is grinding down the tops of the runners on the front two cylinders so they have even airflow with the rest. The Z1 angled spacer is raised 5mm in the front which is the amount that's removed from the top of the cyl 1, 3 runners.
I don't think you would want/need to run both THAT spacer and the MREV2. As far as I'm aware there are no actual dyno proven results on just the Z1 spacer but maybe there are some tucked into the nethers of the internet.
I do know that there are SUBSTANTIAL dyno results for Tony's MREV2 + his spacer and it's a known quantity with proven results.
Even with the Z1 spacer you would still need a regular DE lower plenum though.

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. ok sounds good I'll do it right and get the MD spacer as I would really love to squeeze every drop out of this engine. I actually don't have the mrev2 but I did buy a de plenum and I am planning to custom port it myself just like the mrev2. Thanks again for the reply, cheers.
