Any feedback of a 350z apexi n1 exhaust on a g35.

A friend of mine is selling me a 350z apexi N1 catback exhaust for a price i cant refuse. I was told that the 350z mid pipe is shorter then the G35 coupe, is it true? If I buy that exhaust and bring it to a muffler shop and extend the piping, will I have any problem? Will I still get the same amount of HP? Has anyone here try using 350z catback exhaust on a G35 coupe before?
