I was just wondering exactly what is the "Droning" everoyne talks about with the Stillen exhaust ?? I have the stillen on my pathfinder, but when i went on the stillen website for g35 it said its def. louder then the standard stillen ones for other cars ... just curious as to what droning is and if its really that bad thanks

 

the droning is a somewhat obnoxious resonating sound.

to recreate, take a Pringles can, cut the bottom out and have someone place it against the back of your head and hum into it.

not exactly what it sounds like, but you get the idea. It occurs mostly when you are accelerating...cruising at 3,000 rpm it goes away. At full throttle, you really don't notice

anyway, I've got some sound dampening materials on order that will finally kill this once and for all.
