Hey guys...need help picking the right exhaust set up for my SEDAN.

I am already getting the Coupe Mid Pipe, and want to compliment it with a nice sounding muffler as well.

I don't want the buzzing noise or extreme vibrations, but a nice sound and some better performance?

What do you guys think?

magnaflow and borla are crap, u cant even compare them with HKS

 

I do agree, HKS is an awesome exhaust. I had it on my WRX and I now have it on my G35. You can't go wrong with the quality and the workmen ship. It fits perfect on my G a very easy install it took me 45min with a lift. There is no cutting or welding what so ever. The sound will really set your G35 apart from other G's. Under 3k rpm the exhaust not sounds very deep with an aggressive growl. After 4k rpm the exhaust note sounds unbelievable, it really comes alive with a stunning roar after 4k rpm. There is no drown and the sound is not annoying like most cars with exhaust systems. I can actually have a conversation in my car with somebody with out having to yell. I definitely felt a performance gain after I installed the HKS system. I totally love the appearance of the two canisters that are angled and the 4inch titanium adjustable tips. A very mean aggressive look! Well that’s my take on the HKS hi power exhaust system. Go for the Best.

Here is another one....what do you think of the HKS muffler in combination with the coupe MID PIPE?.....do you think it will be too loud? will the HKS be good enough for sound?

i have a straight pipe, its alittle rapy but it sounds really good. its like the sound u get out of a sports car.
but also quite loud with the straight pipe. i would imagine it quite down alittle with the coupe pipe.

but i like the loudness

it sounds like what the VQ is suppose to sound like. i just wish the engine can rev up to 8000RPM



the borla have crappy quality, poor fit and finish and i would hardly call it an aftermarket exhaust, it looks even uglier then the stock tip. its quiet and "trys" to make the sound of the car different when its not.

I don't know what 'Borla' you were looking at my friend, but the one I have on my Coupe fits well, looks great, performs and sounds as good as any I've heard, and is very reasonably priced.
I'll go one step further and say it was among my most favourite mods.
There are many here who feel the same as I do here, so please don't say we have "crap", you're treading on too many toes, mate.

Enjoy your HKS or whatever you have, but don't call our Borlas crap. They are far from that!

So you know better than anyone else what the VQ is supposed to sound like. Why bad mouth a product? If you like the HKS good for you!!! Have you installed the Borla exhaust on your G35? If not, how do you know the fitment and performance? And by the way, the Borla is an aftermarket exhaust system. It's not oem, is it?

 

u guys need better education, we drive a Japanese car, respect the car and put on japanese made parts.

borla sucks period. i know better then to install crap into my car. i've seen it on my friends car and he sold the borla after a week cuz it sucked so bad and gotten a Apex'i N1, and another got one and it started to leak. talk about build quality.
