Gruppe-S Y-pipe Installed
not sure what I really think about it yet... i went to a local muffler shop today to get it installed. everything looked good and lined up very nicely the only problem was the flange being too big!!!... the guy asked if i wanted to grind it down because it would cause it to knock against the chassis or whatever and he said it wasn't that bad so i told him not to worry about it... man was i wrong that thing knocked against the chassis sooo freakin' bad it sounded like my wheels were coming off... that made me so freakin mad so i went back and he grinded off a good amount but still to no avail it still rattles bad i'm talking very bad especially in the 2500-3000rpm range and down shift is a bitch... has anybody else experienced this problem... i would tell ya if it sounded different or any pep to the engine but the noise just pisses me off so i just turn up my radio to drown it out but that was a big joke... i'm going back tomorrow to get it grinded down some more... maybe it will be better hopefully anyways

i wouldn t think so cause of the cats. do you have stock or aftermarket cats? it could be the size difference of the y pipe on either the cats or the rest of the exhaust.good luck fixing it
If you have aftermarket cats without the hanger attachment, you might have a problem. If you have no exhaust hangers from the engine to the midpipe, you could have a lot of movement in your exhaust. The y-pipe alone should not be a problem. I would get some good jacks and take a look at the problem. See if the y-pipe was installed correctly(I suppose it could be upside down, that would be really hard to do though). Even if your not mechanically inclined, you could probably spot the problem.
finally had a chance to grind down some more and got rid of the problem... i got to say i'm very impress with the slight deeper sound and a little pep.... overall i love it even though it wasn't perfect...
