Was just on the Stillen site. Stillen offers their own exhaust, but
did not see the HKS offered. Are you referring to the Stillen one?
God I love this car!

Thanks Pesti. Your the greatest. And thanks to all who gave their input. Still have not made it in to dyno the car. My family is flying back in from Germany tomorrow, so it will be a while. Does anyone have a dyno of a stock G, so when I do dyno mine, I will have something to compare?

Re: OMG!! Speechless about the HKS Exhaust
I called Adam this morning to order an HKS twin tip muffler for my G35 Sedan.
He called back... "Are you sure?" "I thought you wanted a dual catback system."
It turns out that Stillen has built a true dual exhaust prototype for our G35 Sedans.
The system is very similar to the Stillen catback system for the G35 Coupe/350Z. It incorporates the Sillen headpipe and dual midpipes with resonators. The difference is the twin mufflers are located in the stock Sedan muffler's location.
They're in the process of working out a few details. Then, they'll put it on the dyno to make sure it will add horsepower.
In case you hadn't guessed, I've canceled the HKS Muffler order. I'm going to wait a little longer for the Stillen Catback System.

Also post some pics too! Sounds sweet, but where would they cram 2 mufflers in?

Re: OMG!! Speechless about the HKS Exhaust
mbarrad,
You've identified one of the many design challenges to Stillen's catback system for our G35 Sedan.
The way I see it, Stillen has to cost effectively overcome two major changes from the Coupe's system.
1 - Both mufflers must to be small enough to fit in the Sedan's stock muffler well.
2 - The Coupe's oblong mufflers' inlet and outlet nozzles are not in the best location for the Sedan's system.
I envision the Sedan's system would utilize two oblong mufflers with inlet and outlet nozzles located at the end of the muffler body. This design would allow both mufflers to be completely tucked up into the stock muffler well.
How will it sound?
Stillen's new catback system for the Sedan should sound very similar to the Coupe's system. Perhaps we could impose on a Coupe owner to post the sound of his/her Stillen Catback System.
I'm hoping that Stillen has this system for sale real soon! I need a dual catback system on my Sedan!

Re: OMG!! Speechless about the HKS Exhaust
DaveO,
If Stillen uses 2 small mufflers just to make them fit in the original muffler well, then I will be disappointed. The note might come out sounding buzzy. It also seems that this will not be cheap depending if they want to use an X pipe or strait outs.
If Stillen does manage to make this system sound like the coupe's, add decent (15 to 20 ponies) power, and won't drain my pocket book, then I will consider upgrading.
Whatever they do, at least it is a product focused on the sedan (finally).
