fujitsubo or New stillen?

Does anyone have a comparison between these two exhausts on a sedan?
I know the older Stillen was loud, and I know that many people are very happy with the sound of the Fujitsubo. I like the dual tips of the Stillen, but I do not want something too loud. I currently have the coupe mid pipe on my car and I don't want anything that is a whole lot louder. What about gains between the two?

thnx

i know you know what i'm gonna say, but for the record.

i think the new stillen will still be just a tad louder than fujitsubo. fujitsubo is possibly the quietest aftermarket exhaust you can get. the idle- or cruizing-noise is not to be considered, as it's quiet for both of those exhausts - it's the volume at WOT. stillen will be louder. even new one. the old design will be one of the loudest at WOT.

the problem with the old stillen design is most likely the X-pipe's design, which has been changed on the new cat-back. i think they also changed the resonators on the mid-pipes.

well, you can always try my old-design cat-back that Rob has, to see if you like or hate it. what may be too loud for me, may be awesome for you.

Codeflux, I assume this comes from the fact that you have had both exhausts? Why did you change from the Stillen to the Fuji? Thanks.

good call. i do (did?) have both exhausts. when i switched from stillen to fujitsubo, i *felt* the loss of high-end power. i still miss it (well, not as much now, since i installed headers/cats). and i do still miss the noise. it was a beautiful thing, but it had to go...

well
i have had my Stillen for a year now...
for some reasons..
After the Exhaust has been broken in..
The exhaust tone, especially at WOT..sounds kind of like
a mix of E46 and Boxster Engine to me...which is really nice..

yet, i do agree that the exhaust is a little bit too loud for a Sedan..
but well..i don't really lose the high end power...
since i really think that the stock exhaust killed alot of high end power..
even tho it gives a little bit more low end torque
(everything from Dyno results..not Butt dyno tho)

Cheers

I got the new stillen for 05 G35x,

It was a bit laud with a droning noise at 2000 rpm,

After a few hundred miles, I installed the carbon fiber Z-tube,
it cured the droning noice. It sounds awsome now!

The Z-tube + 05 Stllen catback some how makes the best sound,
less noise than stillen lone.
It seems to make more power together as well.

codeflux, did you feel the loss of any low-end power / torque after the switch? Thanks.

oh... OH... OH!!! /me checks my glasses... hm... dammit...

yeah, sorry for the /lip/. actually when i stiched to stillen, i felt that i lost some low-end power. some people attribute it to dropped back-pressure. now, this is all butt-dyno data. but when i switched to fuji, all the low-end power was back, and high-end power was still there! - albeit, not to the same extent.

does the fuji have any droning noises since its supposed to be one of the quiet aftermarket exhaust?
