Tanabe y-pipe
I have read in several posts that the Tanabe y-pipe is the closest match in terms of the collector diameter. Just wanted some reviews of anyone who installed this y-pipe.
Check the Tanabe y-pipe at this site http://hopupracing.com/taypini35.html

70mm should match up with the stock mid pipe just fine.
However, don't expect any "Huge" gains as advertised.....I can't really tell that my Gruppe S Y pipe added much of anything........except maybe looks and less weight.....

Has anyone installed the Tanabe Y?
Is it a quality piece like it looks from the PICS?
I plan to keep stock exhaust but will be adding the Crawford Cats
and thought that I might as well replace that ugly stock Y
while I was at it
- or should I stay stock because the mod addiction will have me goin FI and regretting this "restictive" purchase.
Someone's gotta have been there done that, right?.

Intense is selling their own y-pipe, which looks like it fits to stock exhaust

That quarter inch doesn't sound like much but apparently the mis-match is enough to create unwanted turbulence if I understand things correctly. For that price difference (~$200) it looks like a reducer is the way to go. Even the Stillen at $249 is a good deal.
...too many choices, time to just do it.
