Hey guys, newbie here. I'm picking up my 04 silver G35 manual coupe on Saturday, and I'm already looking into mods. Pretty ridiculous, huh? Had a 00' grand prix before this, dyno HP hit 419 with a paxton novi 1000- so I always have the mod fever. I was looking at some of the y-pipes on ebay, pretty cheap. Wanted to know if anybody had experience with any of them, if there was any ticking in the flex sections, is the fitment good, etc. Thanks for any help!

 

are they generic y-pipes or actual brand name ypipes sellin on ebay?

 

found one from Megan's racing, which I heard was fairly decent...there are quite a few on there I've never heard of though...

those pipes are generic brand. look at the welds. they are most likely OBX or TENZO brands. the company that makes the pipe prob makes intake tubes too.

 

what is wrong with obx if they do the job??

Inlet 2.5 and outlet 3". who cares who makes the y pipe bc the size of the pippings are more important for air flow.
