Z Plenum on G35
Re: Z Plenum on G35
Here's a link to the place selling the modified plenum. Note that the Coupe and Sedan versions seem to be slightly different.

Another interesting read there is in the R&D section, where they explain how our ECUs cut power on them when they combined their modified plenum with a prototype set of headers they're working on.
I'm definitely not happy with our ECUs. That thing has to go.

Re: Z Plenum on G35
Just put the Crawford on my "G" 2 hours ago. Now the sucker pulls strongly all the way to redline. I'll report more as I put some miles on it. But gawd if now feels strong. I also have a home made Dual exhaust with a Magnaflow X Muffler, "Z" intake tube, K&N Filter, and a five ground wire set. BTW, I have never reset my ECU, and have never felt any power loss with any of the mods I've done. The car just keeps getting stronger, and stays that way.

I installed my crawford yesterday, wwweeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Engive cover can sorta go back on. I but it on, but it has to bend inorder to do so and theirs a unsightly gap now between the cover and the engine oil file car and rubber sleave. I hope to fill the gap with a piece of black pvc pipe.

Gsedan35,
Any concern with the dealer making a fuzz because of the change? I am afraid that if I do this mod that they will not honour my warrantee and I would hate to have to put the stock back on.

Re: Z Plenum on G35
can we do a group buy ill def be down for that... i just want to see some hard numbers first you know. Someone saying power goes up just isnt good enough i want HP and TQ figures to gaze at.... but based on the assumption that it helps the car take in air that pushes me...
Re: Z Plenum on G35
GIlovemycar,
Is the $250 price for a complete upper/lower plenum (or collector in Nissan speak)? If so, please provide your source.
While Crawford's doing a great job with their modification... it's not "stealthy".
I believe the air flow can be increased and balanced to each cylinder by differential porting and/or hydro-honing the lower collector and polishing the upper collector.
