If you had a choice, which headers would...

1. Install the easiest
2. Highest quality materials and craftsmenship
3. Best flow and HP/TQ gain

I'm looking at all brands such as Crawford, Nismo, Alphawerks, Strup, Pro-1, Megan, etc.

The Crawford is really nice but the installation seems to be a pain. The Nismo is a nice shorty and has a smooth transition collector which Alphawerks, Pro-1, Strup, and Megan don't seem to have. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I have a 2005 G35 5AT Sedan.

i think 99 out of a 100 will say #3
isn't that what you have in mind when you first think about getting the aftermarket headers?

Ill let the dynos speak for themselves...

Here's a dyno of a stock AT and then one with only the Alphawerks Headers.

Those graphs are kind of misleading in their current format, any chance you have both done with either RPM or Speed. One of them is done based on speed the other is based on RPM. One other thing, were they both run in the same gear? HP doesn't mean anything if you only gain it in one spot and lose in the rest, I'm not saying that's the case but it's really hard to compare with these plots.

how is it miss leading? Same dyno place and same gear (4th). does it really matter if one is rpm and the other is mph? the hp/tq clearly shows a big jump up top.

I guess I should have said hard to compare, not misleading. Sorry, I was just trying to get an idea of how the headers affected overall power accross the board not just peak HP/Tq. How does the car feel, did you notice any difference down in the lower RPMs?

That's what I am leaning towards, but I'm not sure on the install price... Anyone know of any good local So. Cal (90620) shops that would install crawford headers for a good price?

What about DC Sports? Install was long, but no too bad, high quality and reputation and good HP/TQ gains.
