Hey guys,

I come from the Jeep Grand Cherokee world and there was a performance exhaust system available that enlarged the overall pipe diameter (from 2.5 to 3") of all the piping and included a better hi-flow cat and 3" tip. Overall, the system opened up a lot more hp and tq than expected (the 2.5 diameter was more constricting to the vacuum effect of exhaust.

Is there something like this available for the 5at? Anything that will free up some more hp?

Thanks,
jon

There's quite a number of exhaust systems out on the market for the G. All have their own unique sounds, style, and price, which range from around $500 to an avg of $800-$900 to upwards and over $1500+... Go to any search engine and type in G35 exhaust or visit one of the many sponsors and venders of this site...

Is there anything in particular that is recommended more so than others, though, is the point of this thread. And is there any benefit to a catback system on the g35?

Yes and No! Different exhausts do different things and sound differently. Then we have headers and cats. We also have parts of exhaust systems, like "Y" pipes. We have singles and full duals, we have any number of options.

As suggested above do a search. The Search Function is your friend, it puts a stop to inane repeat threads.
