Yes it is, with the HF crawford cats, it is quieter than the Borla. The Borla started to give me a headach on long drives as it gives that drone when you are in between gears or when you are picking up speed. At high constant speed all exhausts are pretty quiet but as mine is a daily driver, I need comfort as well as power.

I love the Invidia G200 on my 5AT. With resonated testpipes it is loud and mean at WOT. I get compliments on it all of the time. Do any of you 5AT drivers get any backfire (in my case it is very audible) when shifting at redline? Thanks!

Don't let the transmission keep you from upgrading the exhaust. Just make sure you get the right exhaust. No fart cans, and you'll be fine.
I thought the plenum spacer and an exhaust was not a good combination? From some threads I've read, it sounds like some people lost power. Some say that their exhaust gets quiter with the spacer, which may be due to less air going through the exhaust.

I don't see how it would make LESS air going through the exhaust.

Trust me, it's a great combination. You will GAIN power. Nice power. Noticeable power.

i have a 5AT coupe and have done all the exhaust mods. i have TopSpeed PRo1 headers, Crawford Cats, Fujitsubo Y-pipe, and Fujitsubo exhaust. i do drive in MM mode alot so it holds gear, but at WOT, AT vs MT sounds no different.

click here for sound clips if you're interested in what mine sounds like

oh and about the backfires... i get them sometimes... when i rev and then let off the gas i get alot of snap crackle pop from my exhaust, but it's usually only when i'm free revving in neutral/park.... you can hear it in my 3rd clip when the camera is behind the car and i'm revving. the camera is about 4 feet behind the car FYI.

I have the G200 on my 5AT as well. sounds alot better than stock and screams at WOT. makes a good combo w/ the PC/z tube and Motordyne spacer. only prob. is the spacer makes the engine bay so loud it drowns out the exhaust sound!!

o my invidia also has a custom x pipe which most recommend on true dual exhausts. either an x or an h pipe...i believe the HKS has an H pipe...

I thought under normal driving conditions, you couldn't notice the sound the plenum spacer creates. However, I could definitely expect more engine noise at WOT. It's kind of like my Stillen Air Intake and Z tube. I don't think it's any louder than stock under normal driving, but at WOT it sounds totally different. It's a lot louder and a really cool loud too.
