Opinions with Stillen Dual exhaust

I must say I am a little dissappointed at Stillens dual exhaust for the coupe. It's not as loud as loud as my old Stillen dual exhaust for the sedan. The sedan even had a soft backfiring rumble to it when down shifting. I had the sedan for about a year and traded it in for an 05 coupe. The tone on my coupe with the stillen exhaust picks up a bit and is more aggressive in the midrange rpm but virtualy has no rumble when downshifting and almost to quiet for my taste at idle. I even have Stillens CAI installed and its not any louder. At least the polished muffler cans looks good with polished tips. I don't think it was worth $1300 in my opinion.

How long have you had it? The more you drive it the louder it gets. Mine is as loud as hell, but when I first got it it was quiet. Just give it some time. THe intake gets louder too.

2 months old

Got my car 2 months ago and got the Stillen dual exhaust about 2 weeks ago. I have not really noticed any improvement on acceleration, but it does seem to have a more aggressive tone under hard acceleration. I will just have to break it in some more.

I've had the Gen1 on for over a year, probably 20K+ miles. It is still loud but manageable to me. My experience is you need to get the RPMs to 4K and above to get the kick. Coupled with the spacer, above 4K is a fun place to play.
