yea, you shouldn't have cut corners and tried to save a few $$$ withe skunk2 instead of the MD - skunk2 is notorious for having bad fitment problems. better take it off.

I don't know why everyone knocks the Skunk2. I have had mine for 2 months have no problems. Most of the problems are probably from install error and not manufacturer error. I didn't even use silicone as suggested. I cut a factory gasket (the middle section) and use it for the install and even torqued it by hand. My car runs great. Maybe you didn't torque it properly or didn't do a proper torque sequence (like you would do when changing tires). Whatever you did wrong, it sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Retorque it with a proper sequence and use a torque wrench.

You have a major leak on that plenum no air puff should be present at all. Retorque all the screws be careful not to snap the bolts. Reset the ECU when you're done with the adjustments.

One more thing you might want to check. Some people have accidentally tightened the rubber thing around the oil fill location inside the plenum causing a vacuum leak.

That's what happened to me at first.. but it went away after a few days.. BUT I was still not convinced so I re-did the install. The car idles fine now.

Good going slikster......you might want to check those bolts after a week or so since there's so little torque on them.
Enjoy
