Hey everyone. After much consideration, I have decided to get the Injen CAI. However, I am a bit confused in regards to which model to get. I noticed there are two popular models. the RD and the SP. does anyone know the differences? does anyone recommend any specific injen model ? thanks for your advice.

 

hmm i thought there was only the RD series for our cars, but maybe this is something new. iono but i have the RD series one and im not sure i feel any power increases. this probably goes for all intakes though. however, the sound is awesome and u'll definitely like it.

 

idk about rd and sp........but i know there are two different models for auto and manual.........i have an auto and this is where i got mine

The sp is the new style for our cars.... I think apart of the MR technology

 

Norcal, that's right! I just got mine last week and installed it! The sound is awesome and I feel a nice push in the mid range. Anyway, the new one is only for the 6mt. I know it's for the 05 and up G35's. Don't know if it will work on the older models. Also, just got my injen exhaust today. Can't wait to install it.

 

The SP is actually for any G35, i just got mine in today from intense motorsport, which is a authorized dealer. I sent it my warranty reg. card and everything. The installation guide stated auto and manual. I CANT WAIT to install it tommorow..he he...woo hoo..

Correct, the new intake is SP1986P (polished) or SP1986BLK (black).

 

I have injen sp1993p on my 03 coupe.The sp series converts to a short ram or full cai and ibelieve the rd is just cai.I like it but you will lose some low end
