The difference is my hood is actually seen in day to day driving. I don't clean the dust out from behind the dash either.

Hey man..its great i love mine but i would recommend to wrap that A/C line with wire loom just to be safe!

I remember when my PC looked that new... now its all dirty.. even after cleaning it.. it still dosent look like that... congrats

It's the Z-tube rubbing that is the culprit, not the PC.

I don't think so...it's mostly for sound (that's why I went the K&N route.....stock air box is virtually a CAI and K&N lets it breathe better @ a fraction of the cost). But if you have the coupe exhaust....do you really hear the intake that much? Even though there's that small heat shield on the PC, it's still exposed to engine bay heat IMO....

As for the Z-tube rubbing the AC line...that is what the culprit is......though it's not nearly close to rubbing on my car & no modification was needed.

Which is the AC line? What part of the intake would rub?
