350Z XERD Headers on a Sedan trial fit

In a post in the Fresh Alloy Z section, a sedan owner asked if the headers would fit a sedan. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1

see link.

For you guys, I will have a set of these late this month and fit them up to my sedan. I will not have before and after dyno's unless someone wants to cough up 50.00 for a dyno session, but I will have before and after 1/4 mile times. I will most likely dyno after I put them on and having run the 1/4 a few times, I can extrapolate to within a few hp what the gains are.

the z link above mentions that there will be a group buy for these. These look good for expanding the power band on the Z, I hope the same is true with my sedan

I like em cause they are stainless steel and remove the cats, so will save some lot amount of weight.

I will probably still go thru with it, as I have no problem going down there the next day after they fail to live up to a promise (naturally right after I cancel the payment on the credit card)

Also, as far as the hp claims and dispute on the board there, you will need a SAFC system to maximize the gains from headers. The headers on a VQ with 370 cc injectors will reach 80% duty cycle (theoretical maximum) at ~290 crank hp. After that you run the risk of running extremely lean (like 15 or 16 to 1 ratio)

Options are SAFC, Greddy E manage, larger injectors, larger fuel pump, FPR or a combination of the above.
