3' extension needed for the cats? I'd like to know as well, as I plan to install them very soon.

haver fun! On stock manifolds you have 1 bolt from the top of the engine and two from the underside...you'll need a 2-3 foot extension for the top one.

you'll also need to bend the passenger heat shield - it will rub.

The Crawford cats, in my opinion are not the best built units out there. The jigs they use are not very good as the end product cause a bind on the system. My cats had angles on the flanges causing a bind - I've seen it on others as well.

The newer version, version 2 is better...thus far I haven't been very impressed with Crawford products.

Just remember to keep old oem cats for replacement if you sell car, other wise you could be liable to reimburse future owner/owners should they fail a measured emission test.

Thanks. And I misunderstood the question. I thought he was asking about the need for a 3' extension of exhaust pipe... ... which explains my confusion.

thank you i just finished last night. install went relitivly smooth, with the exeption of having to buy grade 8 bolts after stripping some, and buying liquid wrench, and cutting up my hands a thousand time, and dropping wrenchs and bolts on my face.
