Kinetix vs Crawford

Hey guys, I was in the market for some HF cats, it seems that most ppl here go with one of these two. The Crawford's are a bit pricey, so does it really make that much of a difference? The Kinetix seems to have a pretty good reputation too. Please help, make some recommendations. Especially those of you who have one of these. Thanks guys!

If I could do it all over again, I probably would have played with the idea of getting Strup test pipes or AAM's high flow cats:

But I don't think you could go wrong with either high flow cat from either Crawford or Kinetix. I'm running the Crawfords right now mated to my DC sports headers and Borla exhaust and haven't had any cracking issues...

Fast Intentions resonated testpipes are really hot as well. They have 8" perforated core resonators...really smooth sound.

www.fastintentions.com.

call the shop and ask Tony for info.

Dear Atlantic

I know there is no such a group as the Kinetix Circle Jerk but................. I'm glad you love your Cats and they're working just perfect for you but to each his own. The only thing I wanted to say is that if you do a lot of "spirited" driving or are FI, you'll get what you pay for. We all know that Kinetix cats are Carsound cats with pipes welded on them. I had the Carsound cats on my last VQ and I did and do a lot of "spirited" driving. I needed to get new cats before I sold my car. They were on there for about a year and a half. I will be doing metal cats when I do mine. If you have a FI or heavily modded and tuned car, I suggest you get metal cats!!!! I couldn't give 2 Craps if they're polished or not, nor do the squirrels, as I try to run them down. Cracks with anyone's cats are a fear but I'm sure Kinetix straighten that out other wise they wouldn't be selling them anymore. There are some good products above and a few more. Check them out. Initial cost is more but in the long run.............. Just my $.02! Hope you don't think I was picking on you Atlantic

Nice to know there is a real difference in products. I was trying to figure out why some were so much more.
On the Crawfords, I've read that for coupes you have to bend the shield. It looks like the shields are spot welded... is there a chance of popping the weld when making the bend (if needed)?
