Pop charger or stillen highflow intake?

I've read many different reviews. Im def going to get either one of the 2. But, which one? I already have a z-tube and im working on getting a Plenum spacer as well. Im also getting a GroundingGear system very soon. But, I need some opinions on which intake i should get. Any help would be appreciated guys...

depends on where you live, i live in a damn desert so the heat shield box the stillen comes with is a big plus for me, pop charger comes with a smaller heat shield

so far happy with my stillen. Zero issues other than the whistle. Nice growl when mated to a ztube.

I just put the Stillen on my car a few weeks ago. I love it. Beware of the bottom bolt. I just left it off and upon later inspection, everything is still nice and tight without it.

I like the Stillen...comes w/ a heat shield that covers more area and has a duct for cold air....uses a k&n filter. I changed out the intake first; then the z tube...z tube makes the car way louder!

After try a couple of different Z tube and drop-in filter combos, I have settled on the Stillen HFAB. It compliments the rest of my mods quite well, I think. At some point, I am going to swap out the K&N cone filter, which originally came with the Stillen HFAB, for a pop charger filter. That should be interesting.

Did you happen to go with a heat shield for this one. I have Blitz SUS filter that I used on another car. Just wondering how things worked out for you.

Completely agree. That bottom bolt design is illconceived, at best. Unless you have Minnie Mouse hands, you're not getting that bolt on. And even if you do, you'll have to deal with removing and reinstalling that bolt every time you clean the filter!!

The CAI is rock solid without it.......

I've run several intakes on my Sedan and ended up with a modified Stillen setup. (I've since installed several Stillen CAIs for friends.)

Installing the Stillen CAI's lower bolt is a little tricky. Here's how I do the Stillen CAI.

1) Remove the main air duct (over the radiator), the stock aircase and the stock A/C line bracket bolt. Make sure the bracket is lined up with the bolt hole.

2) Optional step, but usually helps especially for the first time. Remove the intake air duct (g- or z-tube) to allow the Stillen CAI assembly to move freely back and forth.

3) Ensure the mass air flow sensor properly bolted through the heat shield to the velocity ring (don't overtighten--it's plastic) and the air filter element clamped in place.

4) With the long lower bolt inserted through the hole, the assembly is carefully set in place so it's free to move back and forth.

5) Align the bolt as near to the hole as possible. Take a long screwdriver and apply slight perssure to the bolt head. Carefully move the assembly back and forth until you feel the bolt drop through the bracket into the hole. (Be careful not to move the bracket where it covers the hole.)

6) Once you feel the bolt drop into the hole use a 10mm socket with a universal joint and long extension to start it by hand. Once hand tight snug it up with a rachet drive.

7) With the lower bolt tightened in place, the air duct is installed onto the mass air flow sensor housing first and it's 10mm clamp tightened. (Remember it's plastic.)

8) Next work the air duct over the throttle body and tighten it's 8mm clamp. Insert the 10mm air duct support bolt but don't tighten it at this time.

9) Align and start the factory 10mm bolt through the Stillen enclosure's top right bolt hole.

10) Re-install the main air duct (over the radiator) into the Stillen enclosure's opening and lock the two hold down clips in place.

11) Push the air tube toward the engine and tighten the 10mm hold down bolt.

12) Align the Stillen CAI assembly and tighten the top right 10mm enclosure bolt.

NOTE: Verify that the mass air flow sensor clamp is not rubbing on the A/C line. Even though mine is not close I've installed a piece of split rubber hose over the line for good measure.

Good write-up Dave. In #2, if you meant to remove the intake tube . . . That definitely made it easier for me. It frees up a bit of room and allows the airbox to be a bit more flexible for the install of that nasty bolt at the bottom.
