if you only got the pop-charger, you may want to consider getting a Z-tube, too - intake tube for 350Z. it's a straight swap-in for the stock intake, but sports higher diameter, and no resonator.

Any change in performance with a z-tube plus pop-charger, or just in the sound? Anyone know of any dynos that are before and after? And howd does it sound different? When I put an intake on my last car it gave it a nice growl at WOT plus a cool sucking sound at low rpm.

Depending on the year and specifics of your car . . . Put that popcharger to work. Combine it with a Z tube and a Motordyne plenum spacer. Even better, toss in Motordyne's MREV. Excellent mods which yield excellent gains without breaking the piggy bank.

That's the first thing I did. Damn, Z-tube and Pop-charger is what started the draining of my savings account.

The MREV+ Copper Iso Thermal kit makes the pop-charger SUCK air so hard, you can hear it from inside the car when you gas it... shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I had a Pop-Charger. Took it off after a few weeks, and sold it.

Great sound, looked cool. Couldn't feel any gains, and I thought the G actually felt a bit more sluggish off the line. Thought it must be my imagination, because the sound contradicted this feeling.

0-60 times on the G-Timer (about a dozen runs with/with-out) showed consistent increases of 0.4 to 0.6 sec with the Pop-Charger. A subsequent series of dyno runs (1 week apart) confirmed a loss of power!

At least for me, it wasn't a good mod.

I went back to the K&N panel/stock box.

Just remember for every 11F hotter air the the engine injest, the power drops by 1% MINIMUM.

Not unusal to see 40F to 100 F hotter air with cones without proper insulated and perfectly sealed enclosures!
