Need help deciding on an exhaust!

Hey guys,

I need some helping picking out an exhaust for my G. So far I've narrowed it down to 4 types of exhaust. They're as followed: Fujitsubo Legalis R, HKS Hi-Power, JIC Magic Spartan DE Type 2 SUS series and Invidia G200. Does anyone have these exhaust and what are your thoughts on them? I know through research...everyone's picking up the HKS, but so far..I've been unable to find a sound clip. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike

HKS, pure sex, get compliments on it almost everyday, last week some guy flagged me down on the road just to tell me he loved my exhaust as i passed him, looks bad ***, makes the rear look very aggressive as if to say "dont **** with me", so ummmmm HKS

After hearing a handful of different exhausts in person, I finally narrowed it down to the Stillen and the HKS Hi-Power Ti.

If you can, do yourself a big favor prior to dropping a bunch of money and making an exhaust selection, listen to the different exhausts of your choice in person. Sound clips really afford these exhaust set-ups no justice. Especially, if the cars in the said sound clips are not under a load. Revving a car while it's at idle is simply of no true indication.

there's more to it than just the sound it makes...

if your spending all that money, wouldn't you prefer to find out which exhaust produces the most hp?

+1! It wasn't until I saw and heard HKS in person at a meet that I was completely sold on HKS. The next day, I put my order in and a few days later it was on my G!

I'm deciding b/w Stillen and Nismo jdm weldina and am leaning toward the nismo even though over 2k but I heard the stillen produced nice gains, a lot of peeps like the HKS too, but as someone else said, you should listed to clips and check out dynos when making your choice. Good luck.

Do you guys just do the catbacks or upgrade the rest of piping like cats and y pipe?

I've always went with HKS hi-powers on all the cars I've had... it's actually pretty loud and although I haven't heard it on the G I would imagine it would be louder with dual exhaust.

I heard the borla on Z's and I thought it was nice.. not that loud.

does it really?.. does it put straight pipes instead of cats?.. so you get a CEL?

if it does it would be a pain to put stock back in for emissions.

no it doesnt remove the stock cats. just from the y-pipe.
what year is your car? its not a big deal to remove the cats, as you can just put the stock ones back when you need to smog it. every 4 years. most cars done throw the CEL, and there is a fix to it as well...

*mines for sale btw*
