CF hoods price

after reading numerous threads...i still don't know what company is better seibon or VIS... but anyways...i'm looking to get either a JS style or an OEM and paint the sides...my question is the fitament vs. price, and if some people who own either company and either of the hood styles... it would be awesome if you could tell me how much you paid and / or your opinions on the hood...

i called VIS and i was quoted $718 for JS and $508 for OEM...and their website says they have a new, larger weave??? supposedly cuz others are starting to use two pieces / with seems cuz of the shortage of cf? wtf?

whats IS a good price for the aforementioned cf hoods?

I have the seibon JS style hood on my car. Fitment is great, the only thing you need to do is adjust the latch because the hook on the hood is short. $700 is about right.

Seibon is a great hood... There is a bit of a gap on mine with the Data System grille. It is not as bad with the OEM grille however.

sorry to change thread topic, but your PM box is full...but, how do you like the HKS exhaust? does it sound ricey compared to stock? im hesitant to let go such an awesome stock exhaust note, but i would like something loud n proud...

No regrets with the HKS! It has a bit of a deeper tone and is only loud when you get on it.

Can't go wrong with HKS at all!
