Anyone using the binder clip method to mount their front license plate?

Question Anyone using the binder clip method to mount their front license plate?

Refering to this thread:

the pics from that thread do not work anymore.

Also someone from that thread mentioned using a screw to keep it secure, but I don't understand what he means:
If you put a small metal screw connecting the plastic to the clip it will never fall off. The clip holds it to the car, and if the clip can't go anywhere, then its not going to fall off!
I'd like to see some pics of how you did it.

I'd like to see some pics of how you did it.

i don't have pix with it on... but basically you place the holder up to the bumper.. clip on the holder to the bumper(upper part), screw in the bolt so the clip won't have an opportunity to slid down even though it's hard to do, and then install your license place with shorter screws. DONE>.

oh yeah you should coat the clip some how so it won't rust.

how big is that bolt?

shoot i forgot the size.. but i know it's 5 inches long. You should grab the tow hook from your trunk and bring it to home depot.
