tint problems

Has anyone who has had their windows tinted notice any un-uniform areas along the top of the back window on the dots? I just got mine done and they say it will dryand even out, but it just doesnt make much sense to me....i need some moral support

Sam

I agree, I would take it back and have them redo it. Chances are, a couple years down the road it will start peeling from that exact location.

It will even out to some extent after time but still won't be perfect. Depending on how uneven it is now, you'll probably have some white patches here and there later on. Best thing to do is bring it back to them or find another shop that knows how to deal with dot matrices.

Those dots are called Dot Matrix, a lot of people have the same problem you do, the uneven dry look on the top window. Luckily there is a solution.

This works only on fresh tint, so youre good. On the 3rd day i took a credit card and put a SOFT wet cotton cloth over it. Then i dragged it (using both hands and applying even pressure) lengthwise across the dot area from the inside of the car. The goal is to use it as a squeegee and even out all the dots and bubbles. Go though it a few times and it should be fine. Mine looks perfect now.
