Front Lip fell off on the freeway

I had just finished getting my lip installed, when little did 10 minutes go by driving back home on the freeway when my front lip fell off. I basically had to pull over on the freeway and wait till traffic subsided and grab it back. Does anyone know if it's possible to put the lip back on in a more secure manner (i.e. screwing in the bottom portion to the front bumper, as opposed to just the side fender walls)? The fender wall isn't thick at all, and I could totally see how it was so easy to just fall off. Please, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

You definitely need to drill 2 holes on the bottom of ings lip and also the bumper. Just using 3m tape on each side of the lip is not good enough

No..it wasn't destroyed...thank goodness for urethane...just a few scrapes and scratches from my car rolling over it. It wasn't just the 3M tape on the sides...there were also 2 drill holes on the sides (2 on each fender wall). Yeah, I'm thinking about having that place drill holes on the bottom part of the front bumper as well. I wonder if they'll charge me for another paint/install job. This was at MOBWorks in Orange, CA by the way. Miguel seems like a good guy, hopefully it turns out well.

If they installed it and it fell off in 10 minutes I would say they owe you a new lip and free installation.

3m double side tape is the best. i put on my front lip on my e90 with that thing and only 1 bolt on the bottom instead of 3 and it still didn't fall off. you should definitely go back to the shop and complain.

you obviously didn't secure it right. put the necessary double sided 3M tape and drill the same amount of holes as the OEM lip and you should be set. you're lucky it didn't get ruined or damaged some other person's car.

good luck!
