Perfectly squared paint chip?
I just noticed two paint chips on my LP coupe, right on the passenger's side front bumper. One perfect rectangle about 3/4 inch high, slightly under half an inch wide, right where the final corner as you make your way back to the tire is. On that last flat piece before the tire at the bottom there is another square chip.
There is a ridge going from the LP paint to the black center of the chip (the orig. plastic color i'm assuming?). What gets me is how perfectly squared off they are. No scratches around the area indicating that I ran up on a curve or something.
If this truly is a paint chip, it sounds like a factory paint defect to me. I bought the car just over two months ago and i'm wondering if i need to take it to the dealer and get them to repair it under warranty. Any other experiences like this? Would the dealer likely tell me it's my fault and blow me off?
