what if you got a flat tire on a lowered car with bodykit?

How in the world would you change tires? I'm kind of scared of this scenario, my car is on a ings+1 kit lowered, the factory jack wont even go under my car (and my tires aren't even flat yet). I just want to be prepared incase one day I do run into a flat, how am I suppose to get the jack to fit under the car? also another thing is, since i have the ings+1 side pieces, its covering the area that I need to slide the jack under to raise up, so what am I to do to get around this? I don't want to risk cracking the side pieces...

Get wood and drive on top of it, then put the jack under it. Most side skirts have a little square cut out around the jack points. If you don't have this, I would suggest dremeling your own.

you could use one of those hydraulic car jacks and lift it up from the rear or the frontend. but then you would need to have it in your car...

hydraulic car jacks need even more clearance than the stock jack...

that definetly wont go under my sides at all...

The OEM jack from the dealer is $138 Cdn to replace. I picked up a power version of the same jack from Canadian Tire for $80 Cdn. I think it is even lower than the OEM. It plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. It is really slick. It fits inside the spare too! (Sedan) Just to make sure, I have a small piece of wood in there also, just in case I need more clearance if it was really flat.

Ive had my car fall completely on it's rotors with the bodykit flat on the ground because a jack fell sideways. I was out in Ohio middle of nowhere, I just managed to get another jack and used bricks i found to lift it back up. This wasn't on the G tho.

I like the idea of a small piece of wood and I m going home to do that today actually. I mean its the simplest and easiest way to do it. I just installed the veilside underwings and I was puzzled about how to get jack under the car...GOod question and good responses.

Thanks fellas.

Been through this a few times.. my brother just had a recent flat also on his mazda speed rx8 dropped.

What we do is.. carry fix a flat..
I carry 2 cans of it in the car at all times.

Going on a roadtrip in the G this August and I bought a box of 8 just in case. 1 can won't fill the tire

HAHAHA! You're crazy! The flat bed refused to touch my car because I couldnt even clear it and get on!!!!!

I had to roll on some blocks of wood, slide the jack behind my front wheel at an angle, and lift from there. Even on the wood, the jack couldnt lift from under the sideskirts. If I jack it up, it would hit my sideskirts before it touched the lift point.
