Hey guys...I purchased an 06' spoiler from Grubbs last week and I'm planning on installing it this wkend but I need some sort of format or idea on wear to drill. I thought if I removed the trunk lid liner that it would have preset markings, but that wasn't the case.

Big favor...can someone with an 06' spoiler coupe remove the trunk lid liner, snap some pictures of where the mounting screws are and post them up for me? Also if you could take a picture of the spoiler from the outside so I could get an understanding of where it should be placed on the trunk. Thanks!

 

Just cut out a piece of thin cardboard or paper. Tracing the whole bottom contact area and cut holes where the screws are . Then just place that templet over your trunk lid and drill away. Theres only 3 screws where you actually screw the screws in. The outer 4 is held on with self locking plastic clips.

 

That's what I originally planned on doing but then I noticed that the spoiler was about 3/4" smaller than each side of the trunk. Looking at other 06' ryde, this shouldn't be but I mean the spoiler came from an Infiniti dealer. I wanted to see an actual 06' spoiler upclose.

 

I don't know if these will help you, but they're the best I have available. I can snap some more pictures later when I get home. I'll try to get some of the inside like you asked for.

 

^ Thanks Imadriver! If you can, I'd greatly appreciate some inside shots. Sorry for having you take out the trunk lid lining and all. Can you also take one upclose shot of one of the ends? It looks like your spoiler also stops about 1/2-1" from the side of the trunk but I just wanted to confirm. Thanks again Imadriver!

 

Alright, I took some more pics. Basically, all I could see was three bolts and a hole for the brake light wires to pass through. You can see the three bolts in the first picture, one in the middle and two on the sides about 22 inches apart from each other. I couldn't see anything else related to the spoiler.
