Do you consider "Swirl mark" as damage??

As most people in this forum know..This body shop ****ed up my car real bad...
He tried to buff out overspray and made horrible swirl mark over entire car...
Can i consider Buffing mark(Swirl) as damage???

Umm, to an extent, yes.


Minor marring and swirl marks are pretty much inevitable unless you spend incredible care when cleaning your car.


If the buffer marks/holograms are horrendous, like this:




I would say, "Yes", they are damage.


Correcting defects such as those takes great care, skill, and time. To polish out a G35 to 95%+ perfection, you are looking at, at least $150...More like 200-250 depending on how bad the marks are.

swirl marks are not damage. if it were, finishing buff would be considered "repair". swirl marks can be removed very easily by using a finishing compound and a fine foam buffing pad.

I meant damage that the bodyshop caused...so they need to pay for the detail..
