2000 for bodywork. hell no. i dont know if your talking about a full kit or just the bumper. I assume you mean the bumper since you said 600. but no way is it gonna cost you 2000. it should only cost you $400 tops to have your replica painted and fitted perfectly.

Knock off is about 450.00 a bumper.
Real is about 850.00 a bumper.
Its going to cost about 350.00 to fix and paint the knock off if you want it done right.
Its going to cost about 150.00 to paint the real deal.
Real bumper with paint 1000.00
Fake bumper with glaze primmer and paint 800.00
Now is 200.00 worth the headach?
Now Im not talking about if the fitment is so bad you have to send the knock off back. Now thats going to cost ya even more!
I dont know how much the kenstyle is but for impul

authentic impul front bumper $1500
to paint $150

replica impul front bumper $300
to paint and install replica $350

$1650 - $650 = $1000 difference

i think most of these guys here are talking about the worst case scenario. where the replica has horrible fitment. in that case, you just send it back and get another one. So if you do order a replica make sure they give you a guarentee and free replacement.

Go to impul-usa.com

All prices are there, including paint matching, etc.

hmm..If I'm not mistaken, and your local SoCal to Santa Monica - Impul-usa will paint and install for a total of $1,000 - and that's for the entire kit.

Front and rear bumper and sideskirts and the fog lights.

personal preference in the end.. but I think that there are some replica's that you'll be very impressed with.. that's all.

It's not a matter of having the money or not either. For a person that's going to be road racing/drifting so on so forth.. a lot of spirit driving.. you think that getting authentic pieces all the time is smart? Of course not.. however, for the person that's just daily driving, car shows.. etc., then authentic would be more considerable for you.

In the end though.. just like almost every other body part/brand/ it's all going to end up being based on personal preference.

Just take it to a bodyshop that has experience with bodykits. If you find a good one then your set. I have a very good bodyshop that deals with this kind of stuff all the time and gives me good prices thats why i dont have such a problem buying replicas. I know they will make it look perfect and it wont cost me much.

They deal with poorly made, knockoff, counterfeit body kits? Sweet!

there is no comparison between an authentic Kenstyle and a knockoff. same with an authentic Top Secret, Ings, Impul, whatever. Buying a real Kenstyle kit is like buying oem, and this isn't me trying to play it up...it's true. There is a reason why Kenstyle and Impul are dealer optional parts in Japan, quality.

It does always come down to personal preference, not budget. I don't have the budget for a lot of things but that doesn't mean I'm going to buy a replica. There are a lot of people who have plenty of money who'll buy a replica over an authentic. I see it everyday considering the products that we hold US trademarks for as the US agents for these companies in Japan are the ones being knocked off. I don't like replicas and I'm biased due to my job, but I would just think that even if you had to purchase piece by piece of a Kenstyle kit, it would be more gratifying in the end knowing you had the real product that you wanted as opposed to settling for something less.

my $0.02

Wait. You said they are experienced working with replicas, right? So then your answer to my question should have been "yes". Stop trying to confuse me!
