color changes

Yo which settings are you using to get the black and the white without loosing brightness on the whole pic?

I used the magic wand and selected the car only, as to not tamper with the colors of the background/wheels.

I couldn't find a good setting that was still bright enough though for black and white.

That was my problem, I got it black but the image was too dark afterwards, I can get it green and all sorts of other colors but not the IP and BO

I carefully cutout only the color part of the car as step1. then I desaturated it. blew out the brightness, and toyed with the contrast until it looked decent. then I played with the levels to help bring out some of the detail and high/lowlights. it was the most challenging one to get right, and I don't even think its perfect; just good enough :P
