It looks black to me.

If it appears to change color between bright sunlight and shade, (sometimes it looks gray/silver and other times it has o gold tint to it) it is definitely "Desert Platinum" Check the color code on the factory tag located in the door jamb.

 

It's definitely Diamond Graphite.

Here's a shot of my Diamond Graphite '04 Coupe to compare:

 

Its DG, o have the same color.

i argue this ALL the time. i know 06+ black coupes are black obsidian. but apparently, according to some members, previous year black coupes were named obsidian black.

 

Too bad we're having this discussion... if only DG was a few shades darker of a gray it'd be both sick and distinguishable

You are correct...my 05' and previous years it was called Obsidian Black (OB) even on Infiniti's website.
